Create a Career
Sherwood Community Services and Hawks IT Solutions
have joined forces to develop a Computer Restoration
Training program to benefit people with autism,
developmental delays and cerebral palsy. We’re
accepting donations of electronic devices such as
computers, phones, iPads, iPods and more.
Sherwood is a non‐profit that provides services to
people with disabilities from birth to retirement –
throughout Snohomish County. Early intervention
services are offered through the ExCEL program. Career
Connection assists adults with disabilities in finding and
maintaining employment. Sherwood’s TechSTEP
program provides assessment, individualized
adaptation and a lending library of low‐tech and hightech
assistive devices for people of all ages.
Through the Computer Restoration Training program,
donated electronic devices provide technological
training and education for clients with disabilities in the
Career Connection program. The knowledge and
experience they gain will enhance their job
qualifications and provide increased choice and
independence.
Some donations are used by TechSTEP as assistive
devices for clients with communication and/or
physical challenges. An iPad or iPod touch can literally
give a voice to people with communication barriers.
That’s not all! Computers restored by Sherwood’s
clients and tested by Hawks IT Solutions are available
to purchase at below‐market prices. So, folks who
couldn’t otherwise afford a new computer can now
purchase a reliable used one. Proceeds are used to
support Sherwood and their clients.
We accept any working or non working electronics
